here’s what you try...tease out a few cotton balls. put them out in very shallow dishes the ants can get into. really soak the cotton in a sugar/water solution to which you have added a goodly tablespoon of borax. they take threads of the cotton balls back to their nests, and the borax kills them there. worked perfectly in our yard/porch. martha’s trick, that one.
